I, at times, I am asked to write something in the ministry I am invovled in. I write for our newpaper, write press releases and on our web sites. I am not much of a writter. I will take something already written and rewrite it to fit in with what needs to be said.

I just got an eamil from my Pastor from an email I wrote to him. I said that what I read was great and I wish i could write that well. I was working on a press release. He wrote back with the scripture from Phillipians 4:13,

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

The he added:

“Practice… Practice… Practice!”

It is great to know you have someone on your side, even when you fail. I didn’t fail it just wasn’t written as needed. I thank my lord Jesus Christ for the people He has put around me just to remind me that I am not a failure. God is in control of all things and this just wasn’t my time.

Live Streams

You can now watch some of the Changed Hearts Band play every Sunday at 11:00 AM Mountain Time. The Salt LAke City Mission is now streaming Sunday Services through Stickam, from the Missions chapel “Embassy of Hope.”  We are still it a somewhat state of experimentation but we are doing it on a regular basis. As with anything new as we get better at what we do and better equipment the quality will go up.

Discontent

Why is there so much discontent in the world? Lack of morality and the greediness of people. They way of the world does not bring us satisfaction so we always go for more. We want more and more and the reason we are never satisfied is because the things of the world are temporal. Things in Christ are forever.

Philippians 4:10-13 (NKJV)

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity.11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Paul learned about contentment because he believed in Christ Jesus. He knew where his help truly came from.

Peace

What is true peace? The world is looking, but in all the wrong places. Jesus Christ can only give you real peace.

We bring problems upon ourselves by not listening to God. The worlds wisdom is foolishness to God. Look around at the mess the world is in.

Man trusting in his own understanding leads to havoc.

John 14:27 (NKJV) - 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
